Hello Fellow Fans of Hardcore

A few months ago I bid farewell to all my hardcore, Oi!, ska, and punk cds. I sold hundreds of discs to the highest bidder. You might think I am crazy giving up a collection of cds that took 20 years to build. Let me explain. I, like many, was found by Christ. The Holy Spirit nudged me to get rid of all the things in my life that were not in line with His plan. My music was one of those things. Although there were many cds in that collection that were rare, out of print, or hardcore classics, I don’t miss them. I have discovered that there is a HUGE selection of Christian hardcore, punk, ska and Oi! Since discovering this genre of music, I have never looked back.

So today, I bid farewell to bands like Sheer Terror, Major Conflict, Agnostic Front, Madball, Youth of Today, Judge, Gorilla Biscuits, Dog Eat Dog, H2O, Inside Out, Sick of It All, Token Entry, Warzone…the list goes on and on. I embrace a new music with a more positive message that is inline with God.

So you might ask, what are you listening to? I have a few discs that I have been spinning frequently. In particular, XLooking ForwardX I have to say that these guys got it right. Their sound is perfect and the energy on their album “The Path We Tread” is unbelievable. They really hit the mark, staying inline with the old school hardcore sound and hit the mark with spreading the word of Christ. I have to say that my favorite song is “Heroes of Your Revolution” they pretty much sum up all the crap that went on in the hardcore scene for so many years. Flag waving and causes. I have given up on all the causes because the only cause that really matters is Christ.

I Hope that you check back often. My goal is to help other old school hardcore guys that grew up in the scene get into the word of Christ and realize that they don’t have to stop listening to the kind of music they love.
